Saturday is Cathy's Critters Earth Day! The day we post recycling ideas for you and your pet to save you money!

What do you do with all the rolls  from the TP when you're done with it? If you have a rabbit, a guinea pig, a rat, a ferret or other small, chewing mammal, the answer could be obvious. Chew toys! You can fill them with a treat or toy or just give them as is. They'll love to chew them, roll them, and, if they're small enough, even tunnel through them! We fill them with hay and give them to our rabbits.

When saving TP rolls for your pets, make sure they're the undyed, unscented kind. Dyes and perfumes could hurt your pet. Are they brown? Good. That's the color they should be. And they should have no trace of perfume scent, either. Another idea is to put a jingle ball or dried beans in the middle, glue construction paper on the ends, and give it to your cat! They love noisy "prey" toys! That can still be adapted to rabbits and other small mammals. Perhaps you could use tissue paper and hemp rope.

Do you have any ideas for adapting TP rolls for pet use? We'd be really glad to hear from you! Please leave a comment in the comments section! Thank you!

Love,

Cathy's Critters
